Turkey will host the Ninth Global South-South Development Expo 2017 in Antalya from 27 to 30 November 2017. The theme of the Expo will be “South-South Cooperation in the Era of Economic, Social and Environmental Transformation: Road to the 40th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Buenos Aires Plan of Action (BAPA+40)”.

The GSSD EXPO will be the last major international event on South-South Cooperation ahead of BAPA+40, which will be held in Buenos Aires in 2019.

The objectives of the EXPO are to identify and promote South-South and Triangular Cooperation initiatives that have the potential to contribute significantly to the achievement of the UN 2030 Agenda as well as to facilitate the creation and strengthening of multi-stakeholder South-South and Triangular cooperation partnerships for sustainable development.

More than 700 delegates from 100 countries including representatives of the UN Agencies, Ministers, high-level officials and experts of Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Economy and Development will be attending the EXPO.
